Lecture of Xuzhou Museum Ⅵ：“The World Congress of Art History and the Value of China in It”

       The content of the Lecture:
       This lecture is going to talk about the brief introduction of the World Congress of Art History and the meaning of holding it in China. The “World Congress of Art History” provides a chance for China to integrate into the world and provides a chance for the world to know China more. In addition, it will re-discuss the art history, the value of currant culture with a new standard. We highlight the tradition, but we do not return to the tradition. Therefore, our tradition will be the universal value.

       The Introduction of the Lecturer:
       Zhu was born in Zhenjiang in 1957 and achieved doctor degree of the University of Heidelberg of Germany. He taught in Peking University from 1987 and work on the Art, Art History and image research of Han Dynasty of China. He was the principal in the committee of the 34th World Congress of Art History in Beijing. He has schemed kinds of exhibitions and conference home and abroad. Zhu insists on contemporary art creation and takes part in exhibitions, and holds individual exhibition. Now, he is the vice-president of Chinese Picture of Han Association, the director of the research institution of Chinese Picture of Han, the director of editorial department of “Complete Record of Chinese Picture of Han”, the chief editor of the “Research on Chinese Picture of Han”, the director of Visual and Image Research Center of Peking University and the chief editor of “China Contemporary Art Yearbook”.
