King Chu of the Han Dynasty-Xuzhou Han Dynasty Fine Cultural Relic Exhibition "opens at Chifeng Museum

      On the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Xuzhou Museum's exhibition opened on September 25, 2019 in Chifeng Museum, Inner Mongolia. The leaders of Chifeng City Culture and Tourism Bureau, Xuzhou Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau, Chifeng Museum, and Xuzhou Museum, relevant cadres and staff of Chifeng County, County, District, Culture and Tourism Bureau, Chifeng citizens and visitors of the day attended the opening ceremony.

      In this exhibition, 88 groups (165 pieces) of Han Dynasty fine cultural relics are selected from the Xuzhou Museum, including 2 first-class cultural relics, 7 second-class cultural relics, and 17 third-class cultural relics. The main cultural relics unearthed from the tomb of King Chu of the Western Han Dynasty in Xuzhou are accompanied by pictures with text and characters, the historical features of the Chu State in the Han Dynasty were displayed in multiple dimensions, which made the audience more intuitive and perceptive about the Chu State in the Han Dynasty, which fully demonstrated the wealth and prosperity of King Chu of the Western Han Dynasty.

      "The Exhibition" is the largest cultural relics exhibition introduced by the Chifeng Museum so far. Chifeng City is the largest population city in Inner Mongolia, mainly Mongolian and Han, and it is also a cultural relics city. There are 50 national security units and 8 cultures named after the place names in the country. They are the land of Jasmine Dragon, the national treasure of Hongshan Culture, which is well-known both at home and abroad. The "Hometown of Yulong" is of great significance to promote cultural exchanges and mutual learning between the two cities, and to promote the integrated development of cultural tourism.

      In order to ensure the high standard and quality of the exhibition, the staff of the Xuzhou Museum went to the Chifeng Museum to investigate in advance. After a week-long orderly transfer of professionals from both sides and the adjustment of the exhibition, the exhibition was presented as scheduled. The exhibition will last for two months and end on November 25.

     Introduction to Chifeng Museum]: Chifeng Museum is located in Fuhe Street, Xincheng District, Chifeng City, a national second-level museum. Construction started in 1958, and the old pavilion was completed in 1987; the new pavilion was completed and officially opened on August 8, 2010. The main building of the new pavilion has a construction area of 11,000 square meters, a height of 27 meters, three main floors, and one underground floor. Covering an area of 4,000 square meters, it is a multifunctional modern museum integrating collection, research, and display. The museum has four special exhibition halls for cultural relics, two temporary exhibition halls, a multifunctional conference hall, and an ancillary service area.

      There are more than 10,000 cultural relics (groups) in the Chifeng Museum collection, including 103 cultural relics (group), 228 cultural relics (group) and 854 cultural relics (group).
